I’m bleary eyed and slightly road rattled from a 6:00 a.m. drive from Tok, Alaska to Fairbanks, about a four hour trip given the icy roads. But I’m on the move, grateful for the chance to go to a warmer, sun-shinier place.
Boarding my first of three planes to get from Interior Alaska to wine country. Alaska Air all the way. Fairbanks to Anchorage; Anchorage to Seattle; Seattle to SFO. Then a rental car pickup at 10:30pm and a drive to Napa for the Wine Sisterhood Gathering.
Ready to close my eyes. Better board the plane first…
